Progressive Dinner

This past Wednesday, our youth kids participated in a progressive dinner.  This is a dinner where you have four courses; appetizers, sides, main dish, and dessert.  The catch is you travel to four different houses, to enjoy one course at a time, and they may not be in the correct order.  So you may start with dessert and end with the main course, or end with appetizers and start with the main course.  It is a very interesting way to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.  We all had a really great time.

Mark is FINALLY coming home!!

So I am about 20 hours away from seeing Mark.  I will be on my way to Fort Riley, KS in the morning.  It is 8:30pm right now, and I don't think I will be getting much sleep tonight.  I am so excited to finally see him again!  Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this deployment.  It means so much to me to have such an amazing group of friends to surround me and take care of me while Mark has been away!  I love all of you guys!!

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, I escaped to Kirksville, MO, where my grandpa lives.  I love going to my grandpa's farm.  Of course, this weekend was deer season, so all my uncles and cousins were there hunting.  This was my uncle's gun, that I just had to try out.  Everyone was laughing at me cause I still had my purse on my arm.

Shopping Extravaganza!

Once a month my friend Taylor Akers and I do a grocery shopping trip.  I have just finally perfected the art of stretching things, and now with my husband coming home, I am going to have to relearn it all over again.  So, we may need to recruit more shoppers!!!  Here is the result of our trip.

It's Crunch Time!!

It has been a crazy life!!  We are less than a week away from Mark being home!!  So one day next week I will be on my way to Fort Riley to get him and bring him home.  I can't even believe how fast this year has gone by.  It's been a pretty stressful week, so I am headed out of town for some much needed R&R.

So I am a little confused

Sunday, my friend Brittany and I decided to do a little Christmas shopping.  When we arrived at one store, this was on the door...So do I enter or not enter??

Raking Leaves

Saturday, our youth kids went around town to rake leaves as a service project.  It was a very chilly fall day, perfect for raking leaves.  The kids all did great and we had a good time!!

Low gas prices, WHAT!!

I never thought I would see this day again, when gas is below $2.  Enjoy it while it lasts, because I don't think these prices are going to stick around for long...
